Use them to practice Five Finger Fillet.

  2. the_lost_seattlite

Dice them and put them in spaghetti.
I’ve added them to homemade chili as a substitute for jalapeños and they were pretty good there, too

  3. NeganSaves

Make poppers. Hand them out to people and tell them they’re jalapeños 🤭

  4. I’ve never tried a Serrano pepper, are they hotter than jalapeños?

I would make Sambal Oelek straight away

My personal favorite with a batch this size is sweet and spicy pepper jam. Goes great on Lamb.

    Ferment and make hot sauce?
    Smoke em, and make salsa?
    Dry and grind for seasoning?

Dice for chili. Preserve the leftovers for chilli.

Cut em in half, dehydrate em, then crush in a mortar and pestle to make your own spicy pepper flakes!

Dehydrate a little chunk of them and combine them with a med ground Himalayan pink salt. Package into tiny mason jars for an awesome holiday gift

  12. Kalikokola

Let them all turn red then blend with salt, pepper, garlic, and lime juice

When you say collected and have the knife out is it against their will?

  14. Prove that you are a real man and boof ’em

All the recipes I have that I use serranos:

    Salsa roja

    Huevos rancheros

    Pozole Verde

Pickled red onions – side note, make these with some Mexican oregano too. They’re insane

    Pickled cucumbers

Carne guisada – no standard to be spicy but I like to kick it up

    Chili verde

Yeah, easy to lose focus when a nice flicky flicky is in your hand. How do you like it? Worth the money?

Green Serrano & Cucumber hot sauce !

  18. You can make your own Sriracha sauce. It’s a great way use up a lot of peppers. Lots of recipes online. That’s what I plan on doing with mine this year. Normally you want to use red Serranos but green will work as well.

  19. M_Joe_Young

I freeze them. They work fine in recipes where you want finely diced serranos.

This is my least favorite pepper. It just strikes me as hot. I prefer the habanero with its fruity flavor and heat.

Anything you can do with jalepenos you can also do with serranos. I typically let them turn red, smoke them for a little bit, dehydrate and the make crushed chipotle pepper with them

Eat them, don’t let them sit around and get soft.
